A friend of mine on discord told me discord is extremely unsecure, I wondered how true this is so I came here.. Any information/advice? I know there used to be a way to steal tokens for user accounts, but I'm assuming it's been patched...

 
You can just don't try to click on any external link like free discord nitro and you will be fine 

 
Discord is secure, yes there is a flaw that has been found which allows to capture Token IDs to then be able to connect to Discord accounts but this has been corrected by discord I believe. After that, just don't click on external links from Discord and above all activate double authentication on your account. It seems to me that changing the password of the discord account also changes the Token ID linked to the Discord user account

After you should know that risk 0 in IT does not exist and will never exist, there will always be a risk even if this risk remains low.

 
Do not go to lefty links, do not scan qr codes in your discord on your phone and do not download suspicious software, it is best to use an alternative such as Element, Telegram, qtox and other matrix protocols.

upd: stealing the discord token is easy
